Ainsley's Mkt. Cruise-In
2007
This is a great place to come to every
Thursday evening, all summer long.
You can find all kinds of cool cars here.
(and they have really good sandwiches and pizza!)

Another nice gathering at Ainsleys Cruise-in. Hotrods, Customs, Antiques, Motorcycles,
AND
some of our members with their beloved Vintage Racecars
Oops - what is this ? Funny looking stock car !
In truth, this is Walter Dupont's rendition of a "Draggin' Wagon",
and Walter (a.k.a. The Flathead King) could of course power it with nothing other than a genuine flathead Ford. DO NOT underestimate the capability of Walter or his flathead, for big block OHV engines have been known to be eating crow long before they reached the finish line. Walter is an active member of both MVRCA and "Wicked Good".
Rosie Gerry's flathead Mercury powered 1933 Dodge coupe is so intimidating that most photographers dare not take a single photo - there is something that just feels safer about dividing the energy!
John Rice's '37 Pontiac #24 (a repeat "Wicked Good" winner), and Neal Martin's Russ Nutting #111 talking over old times.
Jim Sprague rests quietly on the left rear of his "Bonecrusher" #13, apparently contemplating his narrow win at Wiscasset only last week. Jim, then driving his 1932 Ford "Dueces Wild" #2, could see nothing in his mirror lap after lap but Bob Hills who was driving Jim's own #13. Jim was able to hold Bob off (barely), but he knows that things could have been much different if one of Walter's flatheads (in foreground) had been chasing him down, instead of one of those small block Chevies ! Jim, normally found smiling, must be taking this one seriously.
