The GMC chassis, to make it GO !
The half ton pickup chassis just arriving at its new home & still a bit nervous.
Sure enough, another (running) 1948 GMC 6 cylinder in-line for the "Early Stock" class.
New friends getting acquainted for the first time.
Can this really happen ?
Janis says YES ! Frank got to drive the first one; something that Janis never got to do.
This time Janis is going RACIN", with Frank filling the role of crew chief !
rebuilding a door...
lookin good !
Frank havin' fun
Note the homemade fuel cell - yup, Frank did that piece of work !
The chassis is DONE....
Now, back to the body...Hmmm, that roof needs some real work
Frank's solution - get rid of it. NICE on a summer's day !
Thank's to Billy Boyle - who would have guessed that a friend would know
where there was a nice roof just laying in the grass.
Then winter gets in the way. But this baby is racin' in 2008 !!!
Frank's model of his original '39 Chevy Exeter coupe.
